Some champions announce themselves early. Bevan Kelly did exactly that. In one of the most remarkable rises through the ranks in Boulder City Football Club history, Bevan progressed from the club's best junior to the Goldfields' finest footballer in just three seasons.

  • 1956 – Col Baker Trophy (GNFL Junior Fairest & Best) at 17 years of age.

  • 1957 – BCFC League Fairest & Best at just 18.

  • 1958 – Goldfields Football League Fletcher Medallist at only 19 years of age, recognised as the league's Best and Fairest.

His outstanding performances earned him the opportunity to test himself at the highest level with a stint at East Perth in the WAFL, further recognition of his exceptional football talent.

Bevan's excellence didn't end there. In 1963, he was once again recognised as Boulder City Football Club's League Fairest & Best, confirming his place among the elite players of his generation.

From the club's best junior...To Boulder's best senior...To the Goldfields' very best.

Bevan Kelly's career is a lasting reminder that greatness isn't measured by one outstanding season, but by sustained excellence. His 1958 Fletcher Medal remains one of the proud milestones in Tiger history.
