Few footballers have left a legacy as remarkable as Lindsay "Blue" Richards. A brilliant all-round footballer, Richards first announced himself as the Goldfields' premier player by winning the 1928 Taylor Medal before elevating his game even further to claim back-to-back Dillon Medals in 1932 and 1933. His achievements place him among the greatest footballers ever to wear the Black and Gold.

A dominant force for Boulder City, "Blue" was instrumental in the club's success during one of the Tigers' golden eras, helping deliver consecutive premierships while establishing himself as the finest footballer in the Goldfields.

His talent was impossible to ignore. Richards went on to enjoy an outstanding career in the WAFL before becoming one of the game's true pioneers at the highest level, earning recognition as both a WAFL and VFL/AFL legend.
