Some players represented their club. Some represented their State. Very few represented two States. A giant of the early game, Matson became one of the defining figures of Boulder football and helped establish the Tigers as a force on the Goldfields.

Strong, respected and fiercely competitive, Matson’s impact stretched far beyond the Goldfields.
