HARRY DENTON

01 Alec Robinson.jpg

Some stories survive in photographs. Others survive in honour rolls. Harry Denton remains one of the more mysterious names in Boulder Tigers history — but what is certain is this:

In 1911, while wearing the black and gold of Boulder City Football Club, Harry Denton earned selection to represent Western Australia. At a time when Goldfields football stood among the strongest competitions in the country, Denton joined an elite group of Tigers chosen to pull on the famous Black Swan guernsey.

He played 2 State matches for WA — an achievement that places him among the pioneers who helped establish the Goldfields as a genuine football powerhouse.

  • No known portrait.

  • No recorded highlights reel. Just a place in history. And sometimes… that says enough.

  • From Boulder to the Black Swan.
