Some footballers are remembered for their size - Others are remembered for their courage.

Rod Barker was never the biggest player on the ground, but few wore the Black and Gold with more heart. Small in stature… enormous in spirit.

A dual Homecraft Medallist, Rod claimed the Goldfields Football League’s highest individual honour in both 1975 and 1977, cementing his place among the finest players of his era.

His contribution to the Boulder Football Club reached far beyond individual accolades.

• Mitchell Medallist — 1975 & 1977

• Two-time Boulder Club Fairest & Best

• Premiership Player

• BCFC All-Star Team Member

• Part of the Tigers’ on-field leadership group

• Club Committee Member and loyal supporter

Rod’s legacy is built on more than medals. It is built on commitment, leadership and an unwavering love for the Boulder Football Club. Nearly fifty years on, he remains a proud Tiger, continuing to support the club that shaped his football journey.

• A champion player.

• A respected leader.

• A Tiger through and through.
