GRAHAM “EGGA” EDMONDS
No. 19 — A Tiger Through and Through
1967 Fletcher Medallist | Triple Club Fairest & Best | Life Member
Some football stories are measured in games, medals and premierships. Others are measured in family, loyalty, friendship and a lifetime of service.
Graham Edmonds' story is a wonderful combination of both. Known affectionately as “Egga”, Graham wore the famous No. 19 with pride, establishing himself as one of Boulder City's finest wingmen and one of the club's most respected servants. His outstanding 1967 season saw him capture the Fletcher Medal, recognising him as the Goldfields Football League's Best and Fairest, alongside Boulder's League Fairest & Best award.
It was one of many achievements in a distinguished playing career. Graham would claim three Boulder League Fairest & Best awards (1967, 1971 and 1972), represent the Goldfields, collect a Sunday Times Medal and earn recognition for a spectacular Craven Mark of the Day.
In 1974, his contribution was recognised with Life Membership of the Boulder City Football Club.
More Than a Footballer
Graham's commitment to the Tigers extended well beyond his playing days.
He coached the Boulder Colts in 1981, guided the Reserves in 1986, served as Club President in 1988 and represented the club for many years as a respected delegate to the Goldfields Football League.
Player, coach, administrator, leader and mentor — Graham gave generously to the club that had been such an important part of his life

The Edmonds Brothers
No account of Graham's football journey would be complete without his older brother, Charlie. A premiership player, Club President, Life Member and respected figure in Goldfields football, Charlie shared much more than a surname and a love of the Tigers with his younger brother. Together, they wired homes by day and lit up the football field by weekend. Their story is one of family, hard work and the enduring connections that have helped shape the Boulder City Football Club across generations.
The Stories Behind No. 19
Beyond the honours and achievements are the memories that make Graham's story so special. The Monday visits to the garden healer, the friendly banter with Neville Gibbons, the characters, the laughter and the recollections of football life on the Goldfields. These are the stories that rarely appear on an Honour Board, yet remain such an important part of the club's history.
Through the Four Quarters podcast, Graham's journey comes to life — not simply as the story of an outstanding footballer, but as a reflection of the people, friendships and family bonds that made the Tigers what they are today.
