Following the success of the post-war years, Boulder City Football Club once again embraced change. In 1950, the club introduced a striking black-and-gold vertically striped guernsey, returning to a design that celebrated the club's traditional colours while giving the Tigers a fresh new identity for the decade ahead.

The jumper was bold, balanced and unmistakably Boulder. Its alternating black and gold panels created one of the cleanest and most recognisable guernseys in the Goldfields, combining heritage with a modern football style that would influence future designs.

This jumper also carries special significance in the club's history. It was worn during the 1950 Goldfields Football League Premiership, when the Tigers again rose to the top of Goldfields football. The victory reinforced Boulder City's standing as one of the competition's great clubs and ensured this guernsey would forever be associated with premiership success.
