When Boulder City Football Club took the field in 1948, it wore a fresh new design that reflected a club ready to write another chapter in its proud history. The traditional V gave way to a bold black sash sweeping across an amber guernsey—a striking departure from previous jumpers while proudly retaining the club's unmistakable black and gold colours.

It was a design that combined elegance with authority. More importantly, it became forever linked with one of Boulder City's most celebrated achievements.

The 1948 Goldfields Football League Premiership ended a fifteen-year wait for league glory, with the Tigers defeating Kalgoorlie in a memorable Grand Final. It was the club's first senior premiership since 1933 and marked the beginning of a remarkable post-war resurgence.

For many supporters, this jumper symbolised renewal. After the hardships of the Second World War, football once again united the Boulder community. Players returned, crowds filled the grounds, and the black and gold once more stood proudly at the top of Goldfields football.

Although the sash design would not remain forever, it occupies a special place in the evolution of the Tiger jumper. It represents a club emerging from adversity stronger than ever.
