1935 – A Classic is Born

By 1935, Boulder City Football Club had found a design that would become one of the most enduring in its history. The bold black centre panel, framed by gold side panels and finished with a traditional gold collar, produced a guernsey that was simple, elegant and instantly recognisable. It was a design that reflected confidence—a club proud of its colours and proud of its place in Goldfields football.

This jumper arrived during one of Boulder City's golden eras. The Tigers claimed the 1935 Goldfields Football League Premiership, adding another flag to an already impressive honour roll. The new design quickly became associated with success and helped cement the club's reputation as one of the competition's dominant forces.

Unlike several earlier guernseys that came and went, this design had lasting influence. Its clean lines, strong colour contrast and unmistakable black-and-gold identity would inspire future jumpers for decades to come. Looking back today, it is easy to see why this guernsey has become one of the favourites among Tiger supporters.

  • It was modern without abandoning tradition.

  • Bold without being complicated.

  • Timeless without trying to be fashionable.
