Koopah Todd
2026
Mitchell Medal

Boulder Cityβs Koopah Todd is the 2026 Mitchell Medallist. π€π
Todd arrived at the Tigers ahead of the 2025 season after a strong football education through Wanneroo and West Perth, where he played 69 Colts games before adding another 30 at senior level.
But it was during the summer leading into 2026 that the foundations for something special were laid. With the encouragement of Boulder player-coach Scott Worthington, Todd prepared himself for a change of role β from predominantly an outside player to the heart of the action as an inside midfielder.
That meant work. As Koopah explained after receiving the medal:
βI needed to put on a bit of size, so I hit the gym quite consistently in the off-season.β
The result was a remarkable season.
Vice-captain of the Tigers.
A dominant presence through the midfield.
28 goals during the qualifying rounds.
A GFL Country Championships representative.
Selection in the WA Country side.
And a driving force in Boulder securing the 2026 Minor Premiership.
Then on Monday night came the ultimate individual recognition:
THE MITCHELL MEDAL. π
Koopah was quick to acknowledge Worthington's influence, describing his advice as a major factor in his development and success. And perhaps that tells us as much about this award as anything.
Talent certainly matters. But so do preparation, coaching, opportunity and the willingness to do the work when nobody is watching.
In Boulder's 130th year, another Tiger has written his name onto one of the great honour rolls of Goldfields football.
Congratulations Koopah Todd β 2026 Mitchell Medallist.
A magnificent individual season.
A magnificent honour.
And there is still some very important football to be playedβ¦ π―
Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger. π€π
