Ted "Punter" Robinson

The rugged Tiger champion claimed the 1962 Mitchell Medal as the Goldfields Football League's Best and Fairest, adding to an extraordinary list of achievements that cemented his place among Boulder City's greatest footballers.

His honours tell the story of a remarkable career:

  • 1961 Footballer of the Year

  • 1962 Boulder Fairest & Best

  • 1962 Mitchell Medallist

  •  1964 Fletcher Medallist

  • 1964 Club Coach

  • Captain-Coach of six premiership teams

  • Goldfields Leading Goal Kicker in 1963 and 1969

Whether leading from the front, coaching from the boundary or kicking the goals that inspired his teammates, Ted Robinson set the standard for excellence in the Black and Gold.

His legacy extends far beyond individual honours. He helped shape one of the most successful periods in Boulder City Football Club history and remains one of the true architects of Tiger football. Today we proudly honour Ted "Punter" Robinson—our 1962 Mitchell Medallist, a champion whose name will forever be synonymous with Boulder City Football Club.
