A brilliant wingman blessed with exceptional pace and exquisite foot skills, George was one of the finest footballers to grace the Goldfields. His brilliance was recognised with back-to-back Dillon Medals in 1940 and 1941, honouring him as the Goldfields Football League's Best and Fairest player in consecutive seasons. Playing for the Boulder Tigers during the late 1930s and early 1940s, Krepp's speed, balance and precision made him one of the most admired footballers of his generation.

Opposition teams struggled to contain him, while Tiger supporters marvelled at his ability to change a game with his run and polished disposal. His achievements have never been forgotten. Today, his contribution to Goldfields football is honoured through the George Krepp Memorial Trophy, awarded each season to the Goldfields Football League's Champion Club—a fitting tribute to one of the competition's greatest footballers.
