Some players become club champions. Others become club legends. Jack "Taxi" Martin became both. One of the most gifted forwards to ever wear the Black and Gold, Martin claimed the 1934 Dillon Medal as the Goldfields Football League's Best and Fairest after years of dominating opposition defences. His achievements are among the finest in Boulder City Football Club history.

For more than a decade, Jack "Taxi" Martin was the spearhead of the Tiger attack. Strong overhead, deadly around goal and a tireless competitor, he played a pivotal role in one of the club's most successful eras.

His service didn't finish with his playing career.

Martin stepped into the coaching role in 1938, and after World War II returned to guide the Tigers again in 1944, continuing to serve the club he loved during one of the most challenging periods in its history.
