Chayne George
joins an elite group of people who are dual winners of the Viskovich Medal
having won the first of this prestigious award in 2008. Henry Papertalk
was leading the award most of the season but Chayne's solid performance
in the 1st semi-final resulted in him overtaking Henry in the final game
of the year.
Adrian Hooks has now won back to back Reserves Fairest & Best
awards.
Wayne Goldsworthy was named as the 2012 Volunteer of the Year.

Mitchell
Medal awards
Congratulations to Henry
Papertalk who won the Skywest Footballer of the Year award at last night's
Mitchell Medal awards ceremony. Henry polled 21 votes to edge out
Mitchell Medallist, Alex Stewart, on a countback. The prize pool is
fantastic and Henry has two return flights with Skywest to Melbourne, one
return flight to Perth, a caricature donated by the Kalgoorlie MIner and
a night's accommodation at the Rydges in Melbourne.
Adam Hunter
was also recognised as the GFL's leading goal kicker for 2012 for kicking
49 goals in the home and away season.
Congratulations
to both Henry and Adam on fantastic achievements.

Macgregor-Kennedy
Cup
Since 2004 the last Boulder
derby of each season has been dedicated to playing for the Macgregor-Kennedy
Cup which has been named after stalwarts of both Boulder based clubs.
It was with
great joy that Boulder won the Cup yesterday after a number of disappointing
losses to co-tenants Mines Rovers. The
game was won by two points in the dying seconds of what had been a terrific
game of football, and moreso because of the final result.

PInk
Football & Netball Day
Boulder have held a
luncheon now for about six years to raise much needed funds for breast
cancer research. This year there was a slight change of focus where the
cause became national and hopefully an annual event. The Club were
delighted to raise $2,300 to send to the Breast Cancer National Association.
Thanks to
the Jane, Leanne and Gwenda for organising this event and to everyone who
contributed in any way at all. The players wore pink socks and played
with pink footballs and the umpires were resplendant in pink shirts too.

Twenty
20 Big Bash
Once again the annual Twenty/20 Big Bash proved to be a great catalyst for
the Tigers' first get together of the year. It was great to see some old
faces back and even better to welcome new people to the Club.
The game wasn't
played between the under 30's and over 30's this year which was probably
a good decision as there was a very close result at the end. Notable
mentions to Ricky Maynard for making 50, Chayne George for his 35 and Stocky
for some inspirational fielding. All in all a great day.
It was great
to have the Purple Fairy down painting faces (and not just the kids' faces)
to set the scene at the beginning of the day too.
